How to Install Tekkie Ties (and Get the Perfect Fit)

You only install Tekkie Ties once per pair, then your shoes become slip-ons. Here's everything you need to know to get it right first time.
What's in the pack
- Adult Sneaker: 16 silicone laces, enough for one pair.
- Adult Formal and Kids: 12 silicone laces, enough for one pair.
Each lace runs across your shoe between one pair of eyelets.
Step by step
- Take out your old laces. Loosen the shoe fully so the eyelets are easy to reach.
- Push each Tekkie Tie through a pair of eyelets. One lace per pair of holes.
- Snap the ends into place.
- Slip your shoe on. Walk around for a minute and check how it feels.
Getting the perfect fit
Everyone's feet are different, and you might want one part of the shoe snugger than another. That's what Fillers are for. Each pack has 6 single silicone laces in one size:
- Small: UK 1–4
- Medium: UK 5–8
- Large: UK 9–13
Swap a Filler into any spot that feels too tight or too loose. To install one, slide the filler into the silicone lace before you thread it into your shoe. Once it's in, it stays put. Fillers are also handy for replacing a lace that has snapped or stained. They come in Black and White.
Mix and match colours
There's no rule that says every lace has to match. Mix colours across a pair, or even within one shoe. Try Navy and White on a pair of tekkies, or let the kids go wild with Multicolour.
Care
Wipe your Tekkie Ties with a damp cloth or rinse them under water, then let them air dry. If one breaks within six months of purchase, we'll replace it free. See our warranty.
